Does a roo mate with his offspring?

If I only have one roo, a d hatch out some of his babies to add to the flock, will he mate with them? Is this inbreeding?

Yes and yes. Depends on what you are trying to accomplish if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Im not trying to accomplish anything really. I have not had any eggs of his hatch yet, but I was wondering. Will the eggs be normal? If those babies were to have eggs hatch, would the chickens start to have deformities? Im just curious in general about it, but am not actually going through the dillema.

If it has feathers or is dish liquid bottle,, my roos will mate with it. They don't care what it is or who it's related to.

You would probably be ok for a few generations but then you might start seeing deformities or lack of vigor...

Interesting. I figured the roo would mate with any hen around, but wasn't sure about the inbreeding/ deformities part.
