I love love LOVE my roosters... they are very protective and sweet over their girls but that is needed to keep your flock safe. My hens always stick by his side and get very worried when the boys might not be in within wings reach! Hehe

I love my cream brabanter roo "SweetHeart" and I have a soft spot in my heart for my 2.5 year old Ameraucana roo "Roosticaa"

Love my roo's, I don't have a picture of my young roo, but, he looks like his papa, the older roo.

I call them the Heir and the spare!

Here is the heir, doing his job as usual, watching for the hawks which we have plenty of. This good man takes his job very seriously, my roos are Crested Cream Legbars:

Yaw I have a few hawks come after then hens and chicks. The sad thing is my 2 black and white chicks that I named pueblo, got attacked by the hawk, imean they were in a cage outside in the grass and the hawk landed right by the cage and reached threw and took its grab. None of them survived, but I did manage to hit the hawk with a broom.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE ROOSTERS to be honesty I prefer rooster over hens. But I can't raise them in the city that's why I got to be stuck with HENS!!!!!!

It seems rooster are less vulnerable to hawks and predator in my point of!
