Does any one use an LG strictly as a hatcher?

These are encouraging posts! I think I will try it. I bought a still-air (cheap!) and could easily install a fan if that will help hatch rates. I didn't buy a turner because it was never my intention to incubate in it. My eggs are due to hatch a week from Friday (the 12th) so I think I'll set it up Sunday or Monday and see if I can get temps/humidity stabilized.

This is exciting! Thanks for all the input everyone! Keep it coming, I love to hear your experiences!

Yes, you can use a LG as a hatcher. Another alternative is to use a GQF Hovabator as a hatcher. I find it better to use a separate hatcher when incubating. It makes cleaning easier cause you only need to worry about cleaning downs out of the hatcher! Good luck!

good post. it convinced me to get a 1588 Genesis for a hatcher for my Brinsea ECO.
If I had gotten a still air, I would have installed a fan and I am lousy at cutting holes and DIY>
I like the idea of an electronic thermostat that you don't have to fuss with.
More expensive, but will be worth it in the long haul. Now for those multiple hatches!
