I have a really odd taste of music anywhere from Country to Hard Core Gospel. Do you like sacred harp singing?

What IS Sacred Harp Singing? (I have a diverse taste in music too)

It is a historic Southern form of music. It is gospel, have you ever watched the film Cold Mountain, if you have the church scene they are singing Sacred Harp. They sing in groups in four section groups and then a leader. It is pretty cool.

My husband and I LOVE Sacred Harp singing. I have every CD I can find with some on it and have reprints of several of the old SH books. Would love to find a Sacred Harp singing to attend someday! I love the harmonies and the grouping of voices.

I'm afraid it gives me goosebumps but not in a good way. I love country, bluegrass, folk, and gospel, but it's not my thing.
