Does anyone disapprove of chicken diapers?

I didn't even know something like a chicken diaper existed until I joined BYC!

I find it odd that folks keep chickens in the house....but then, I find it odd that folks keep any animal in the house on a full time basis, so this isn't unusual thinking for me. It makes sense, if you keep a chicken in the house, that you need to contain the effluence so I'm not particularly disapproving of the diapers...just find the whole thing unnecessary in general.

It's you tube, of course people are posting nasty comments on there, that's what people do.

Now a house chicken isn't for me, once they're out of the brooder, they're outside.

I wouldn't have a chicken in my house, but then, some people think I'm weird because my cat has a sweater.

Please tell me you have pictures of this. You must.

I'm assuming you're referring to Dermis in his hoodie? I don't have pictures...I guess I'll go take one today.

He's a nearly hairless cat...of course he needs a hoodie.

This isn't something I thought I would ever find myself doing UNTIL I had a teeny tiny Call duck.
She is VERY small(I suppose she's a dwarf) and she cannot stand the heat down here-therefore she'll be spending summers here in the house.
Just like everyone else said, my house, my decision and I'm not much of one to care what anyone else thinks anyway.

The original question was if anyone disapproved, so if someone disapproves they ought to be able to say so here just as much as anyone has their say about it. Me? Heck, I don't care if you want to put it in diapers, put some lipstick on it and teach it to smoke cigars. I personally wouldn't ever diaper a chicken or have one in the house other than as chicks in a brooder, but I wouldn't neglect to visit someone who does. People should be able to do what they want in their own home. Now, if you had a whole house full of them critters, I might be more inclined to visit with you outside.

It really doesn't matter what others think as long as your not harming or neglecting any animal or human in any way. People are way too quick to judge one another.

Personally, I think chicken diapers are a pretty neat idea, especially for an injured or sick bird that needs to be separated from the flock. There is nothing wrong with a house chicken. A pet is a pet whether it's a cat, fish, dog, chicken, hamster, rabbit, ect... Chicken diapers are not harmful in any way. From what I've seen on TV and YouTube, chickens are very happy and don't mind wearing them. People have been keeping birds as pets in their home for a long time. There are doggie diapers too.

I don't like animals in the house. My bator is in my room so I guess I'm a liar. But there is one thing I do know chickens don't like to be cooped up. They like to peck & scratch & climb up on their roost to sleep.
