Does anyone do anything interesting with feathers the chickens lost?

Drive truck up that way, used to be couple times a week, anytime that would be coming through on a friday iwould stop and bring home a stuffed brocoli and spinich. Got my kids addicted to white style pizza. They would prefer that pizza warmed up to any of the chain stores. Saw Morgantown and that is first lplace that comes to mind. Have sidetripped up there when in the area.

We've only found one or two so far, chicks are still babies - but my daughter was THRILLED, so we glued them on the cover of a notebook!

I love the feathers in the screendoor......

I have been meaning to ask this same question! I have my feathers in the top of my cedar chest. Over the summer I made our grand daughter an indian headband as she loves to play cowboys and indians(she switches off and on on which she is).
I was thinking about somekind of display in a picture frame under glass. I also had found on line when looking for unusual original art work a lady that paints pictures on turkey feathers! They were very beautiful. I can't paint well though so that is out. I had thought of a wreath also. I have thought of cutting the feathers and glueing them to a drawing of a chicken/rooster, I might try that.

FLY FISHING TIES!

My 'deaf' uncle just had a brain implant put in for Parkinson's. The surgery was an awake surgery and because he was deaf he had to have an interpreter in the OR with him so he could answer the surgeon's questions. Long story short...he LOVES fly fishing in Montana where he is from and I sent him feathers for fly fishing....guinea feathers, barred rock feathers can be used...the more contrast the better. He loves them.

I too collect the feathers and don't know what to do with them. I wore one in my hair to a local Indian Pow Wow. Boy did they have some beautiful feathers. I fell out of my car and fractured my thumb trying to reach an ostrich feather at a drive through safari. My family would not stop laughing at me. It was the joke of the day. The feather sure is beautiful though. Worth the pain? Not to sure about that.
