There was a commercial a couple of years ago and people wound up complaining because they were smashing their TV's because there were bugs walking on it...but it was part of the commercial...
Sara....Yes the pinecone is the body...turn it on its side. Glue the feathers in among the pinecone and I think I used the little end ( the point) as the neck. I cut out a little paper head and waddle and glued it to the pinecone. They really turn out cute and no two are the same. Might be a great Grandma gift for the holidays....have fun

You don't happen to have a picture of this do you? I'm having a hard time getting visual on the head/waddle part. I'd love to do it with my kids, they adore the turkeys and chickens.

that is a wonderful idea! I am going to do that w/ my grand-daughter. I have made walnut shell turkeys for years,taught many of my childrens classes how.
