Does anyone else have a case of spring fever?

I'm in southern Missouri and, except for a few days we never really had a winter this year. Or last year either, for that matter. It seems like our whole winter has just been a late fall or an early spring, take your pick.

Our winter last year was very mild, so much so that the summer bugs were really bad. It has been a bit
colder this year so hopefully the bugs will be a little better this year.

I live in South Florida, and if its warm weather you're looking for, come on down! This winter so far has been super mild. I, personally, can't stand that. I'd love some cold weather to come our way. Isn't it strange how the weather is around the country?

How warm are you temps? We live in East Tennessee, our winter has been wet, very, very wet. The ground is just muck.
I would rather has snow than all the mud.

Yesterday and today have been pretty nice in NJ. I noticed I've been getting a case of spring fever yesterday. Of course the fact that we still have at least two months of cold to get through doesn't help either!

I know, it has been in the 50's here. I saw a dandylion poking out of the ground. I guess even the flowers
are ready for spring too. I cannot wait to plant some plowers. I have houseplants that bloom in doors which
is helping some, but nothing beats getting to plant flowers in the flower beds.

This will be my last year for awhile to plant a veggie garden and raise some baby chicks, so I am looking forward to it. I will be leaving for vet school in August so I have to make the best of this final summer of freedom! LOL

In door gardening really helps for sure. Mabey thats why I do so many starter plants for the garden. My sunporch gets so bad it looks like a jungle. Course nobody complains, even DH due to the fact they will put up with anything, to lessen the crabbing I do about winter. Last year I had 2 shelfs with 6 teirs full. And I did the, what was I thinking after planting it all. Oh well we had truck loads of tomatoes.

I am seriously trying to adjust our life so we can do the snow bird thing. Spent 2 weeks in Florida in March one year, loved it. It did wonderous things for me. Spent 2 years in Texas one year, loved it, and again wonderous results. Then 1 whole winter in Texas, didnt know life could be so good. Want some more of it. You guys are soooooo lucky that live there.

As for flower beds ,last year didnt get our mexican torch flowers in, what a mistake. If you want butterflies they are the magic flowers for that.

I love indoor gardening, it take the winter blues away for sure. I start most of my veggie garden plants inside so that
makes it exciting too, knowing that spring is coming.

East Tennessee winters are much like Texas in some respects. We can get some cold snaps but for the most part
it is a lot more mild but very wet. We get a lot of rain, it can stay pretty soggy for quite a few weeks. Instead of snow
we get rain, rain, and more rain. It is always nice when the ground finally dries out in the spring and early summer.

I want to move to the southwest so bad. Of course instead ill be spending the next four years in upstate New York where it is even colder than New Jersey! Someday I would like to live in Texas though. I visited once and that was al it took to fall in love!

Dh was in GA and it was sure better than OH right now.My chickens aren't interested in coming out.Aside from the driving I don't mind it all.Atleast those bugs are getting killed.I have chives and rosemary inside.I love the smell of the rosemary.Already ordered some seeds.
