The wind... the biting wind keeping me cooped up in the house!

I'm starting to go a little kooky. Not to worry, though. It happens every year. I return to "normal" around early April. With wind chill, it was -11 degrees F here last night.

Its super cold here too. But to be honest I make it a point not to know the temp, because that seems to make it worse for me. I guess that could be considered kooky too. As for going outdoors, not unless I have to.

We are having a mild winter so I have started my tomatoes, peppers and various flowers for later transplanting. I have gotten most of my seeds and am ready to start tilling as soon as I find a gasket for my tiller. I have been reading up on incubators and have decided on a Brinsea but not sure exactly which size and I have been watching the hatching eggs trade sites to see what is being offered. Yes, I think I have a bad case of spring fever.

Wow, you all have some cold temperatures. Where I am we've had one frost which was way early and killed over half of my garden

So now I'm just doing the starters in containers on our front porch, which my daughter refers to as "the conservatory". I planted 11 trees this last month, got my chickens and replanted in the garden with things that don't mind a little frost, if we get any more. It's been really mild here. Today is a little bit chilly and right now it's 61*. But I swear, if I'm not planting, I'm not happy. I could imagine the spring fever you all are going through. My living room would like a greenhouse. Congratulations to any who have had the will power to not go quite that far

I feel like if spring doesn't hurry that my head will pop off...literally...I can't wait any longer...at least we usually start seeing springy weather at the end of next month. I have a hen that can't wait either...I caught her sitting on 2 tiny eggs in the garage under the coop today...I fear I've chased her off though...sucks. Was looking forward to her hatching a couple babies for me early...oh well...at least now that I know she is laying I know that she will lay more and brood them too...

You sound like me, I cannot wait for the flowers to start poking out of the ground
and the temps to warm up. Our winter has been so wet this year, just wet and muddy.
I am sure that the girls are ready for some warmer weather too. I think they are getting tired
of treading in the mud and would much rather appreciate the grass to scratch in.

We are supposed to get some teaser days next week, but then get cold again. Not fun.

I know exactly what you mean, I have had spring fever since New Years. Since the holidays are over I am ready to start
planting flowers and getting outside. We are were 70 degrees yesterday, had a few strong storms come through and now
we are at 33 degrees today. I hate it when the weather does that to me. I am looking forward to the warmer weather to
come and stay for a while. Glad to know that I am not alone.

I TOTALLY have spring fever! I think my turkeys have it also. We had a couple of nice days here in Michigan (well, the temps were high anyway) and now the Toms are starting to square off! Of course, it's getting close to mating season also. I think they have spring fever also!

My daughter and I have it so bad that we went ahead and set some eggs in the bator. We didn't expect anything because a lot of them had gotten really cold from the weather, only collected once a day. Well, we have 9 developing! I can't wait until spring to fill all my bators!!

Of course, with spring comes all the hard work outside again. I'll take it, I'll take it!!! Clean out those coops, get those gardens going, start that lawnmower!
