I'm new here so I hope I'm doing this right. I would like to know how long after hatching eggs will a duck come back on the lay?

are you talking about to hatch the eggs out or to just lay another egg?

This thread dosen't belong here in the coop, run and construction area, it should be in the waterfowl- ducks, swans & geese area and you should get some better answers to your question.

    Welcome to the BYC.

My Khakis have not gone broody yet so I don't have an answer for you. I have had some broody hens hatch out some of my duck eggs. It took anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks for my chickens to start laying again after being broody. Maybe it is the same for ducks? I don't know but hopefully someone else will give you an answer to your question.

I used to have khakis too. Never saw a broody hen either.
