Does anyone else have this problem?

I dont know it might have been 7" in a day Spook lol. It rained again all night last night, but thankfully it is nice out today. Hope it stays that way! Our ducks have never been happier though. With all the rain we now have a nice sized pond in the backyard. Most of the chickens come running when I bring out treats and I can get them into the coop. There are just a few that dont. They all go in by themselves when it is starting to get dark out. I guess they just like the rain.

My chickens run into the hen house as soon as it starts to rain...they also run away from a misting water hose. I wish they liked it, as it is in the mid-90's here and they pant a lot. I put a fan on them when they are in their pecking pen and leave it on all night so that there is a breeze blowing through one of their windows.

I faintly recall what it is like to get 7 in a week or even a day or two (Washington state transplant) - oh how the greens grow!

When we moved here we brought all our animals of course - horses, dogs, parrots and at the time ducks (still have all animals plus more). I am sure my poor ducks thought we had lost our minds when we unloaded them from the front of the horse trailer. They looked around and could find NO slugs (main WA staple) - all four were ready to hop back into the trailer and travel north!

Best wishes for a dry out (but not too dry).
