You didn't know before but now you do and are going to fix the issue. All is well. No one started this hobby knowing everything, we're all still learning

I know the struggle! A lot of people come on here, ask questions like this and feel judged by the answers but it’s not like that. We have all been there and learned the hard way and want to help! The fact that you are willing to ask for and take advice makes you the best kind of chicken keeper!

Ok thank you I will definitely add vents soon it’s really hard sometimes to get the right size coop it was the first coop I built so I’m not going to be to harsh on myself lol but I want what’s best for them

I made SOO many mistakes with my coop and I didn't even know about BYC to ask questions! I've tried to fix some of them... some my chickens and I will just have to live with... and I am 72 now, got chckens 15 years ago so .... yeah, it's a learning process, lol.

My coop is 8 x 10, room for 20 birds, but I often have 25 or so. Right now I have 22. Thankfully they all do get along. But do you want to hear my latest mistake? I just bought 20 chicks. WHAT WAS I THINKING? And more importantly, WHAT AM I GOING TO DO????? So yeah, nobody's judging you. Please don't judge me, lol!

20 chicks!!! Wow that’s a lot of floofs to look after lol I have 5 coops and all my chickens are happy and I know your chickens are happy too! Owning chickens is definitely a learning

Oh I was lucky this time. I had two broody hens. They are raising these babies for me! I have raised many a brood in the house though. See here. This shows both mamas but not all the chicks.

Thank you. Last time they went broody I gave them each two eggs and they each hatched one. Then they co-parented for about three or four weeks and now I have two lovely cockerels I absolutely do not need, lol! But that's how I knew I coud trust them with this mob of chicks.
