does anyone else raise red broilers?

greyfields i don't know which hatchery they came from, just from the feed store.

It's really impossible to say what you have then... if they're slow cornish, red cornish, or something different. Who knows. You probably know more than the average feed store worker does about chickens, too.

I was holding a turkey poult one day and this one guy tried to convinced it was some breed of chicken.

As for the shipping from Ideal in TX - we live in WV and ours were shipped on a Monday - we got them at the post office on Wednesday - all but 2 made it out of 38
BUT -- the local TSC had theirs order shipped out on Sunday that same week ( that's what the post office told me ) - got them on Wednesday - the folks at the post office said that a lot of them did not make it and were very stinky, and they disposed of them before sending them on to TSC.

I am planning on ordering from them again, as i have been very happy with the ones I have, but will ask them to make sure to not ship mine out on Sunday!
