Does anyone ever save the first egg shell?

I remember when I was little we used to blow the insides out of egg shells for crafts sometimes, and I was just wondering if any of you ever save the shell of your first egg? We have an EE and if her eggs are blue I was thinking that my daughter might like to save the first good egg. Even if they are white or brown I still think I might try to save the shell for her.


Anybody else save theirs?

I saved mine!

I blow out each of my girls' first eggs and save them.

I even saved the eggshell halves out of which my first GrandChick hatched!!

What a cool idea! I didnt save my first egg layed, but I did save the shell from the first chick I hatched here at home in the incubator. But one day someone knocked it off the shelf and my Boston Terrier puppy chewed it to crumbles before he decided it didnt taste so good.

lol. So I guess the key is to keep it away from the dog after I save it! Glad I am not the only one... IF we ever get an egg that is!

That is cute! Since my kitchen is decorated in chickens and roosters, I should do something like that. It would look nice.
