Does anyone freeze grass?

you can grow flats of wheat grass, don't need to buy it at the pet store.
keep in a sunny window? I grow wheat grass all year roundfor the girls and we don't have snow.

Geeze o' Pete, you ladies SPOIL your chickens. I don't mind raising greens of all kinds in the garden for them and collecting through the winter from under the snow if the plants last, but going through what some of you do... Hope the kale and collards in the garden last: otherwise, ...

I saved over some dried from cutting the lawn. We basically have weeds so they love it.

Joel Salatin claimed (if I remember right) that his feed costs were reduced 30% by pasturing meat birds on mixed grass & legumes.

I have had the problem of impacted crop with stemmy hay. But, saving lawn clippings . . . . freezing would probably be more fool-proof than drying since chopped grass begins to spoil so quickly. And, it sounds economical and reasonable to me.

I wish this idea had shown up back when my lawn was actually growing.
