Does anyone give scratch grains or wild bird food to their quail?

There the same as chickens... They'll eat most everything, lately they have a taste for Payapa, good ones= us, but the others they cant get enough of...the bits and older fruits, they like Pineapple too...

Absolutely! I mix scratch, finch seed, cockatiel fruit and nut blend seeds, and blend of conditioning and molting seeds. I also throw a handful of hulled sunflower seeds. I mix all this together and the quail love it. My birds also love pumpkin seeds, quinoa and flax seeds. Quail will eat nearly any seed small enough.

I agree, but keep in mind...if your birds are on the ground they have access to grit that is needed in the crop to digest the seeds. If your birds are on wire, offer some free choice chick grit along with your scratch grains...IMO

I have parrots and quail in a aviary. The bird food/feeds bag got wet so instead of throwing it away It just threw them on the ground and it grew a lot of sunflower sprouts and lettuce. Is it okay to pick up some sunflower sprouts and give to the quail to eat?

do quails eat raisins if i do inject ativan 2mg mixed in water and 1mg or 1 drop in 1 raisin to make them unconscious for some time does this work? i need advice from quail catchers? there are 100 of quails in jungle near my home but they run very fast i tried all nets ropes cages to catch but but cant so please do advice me of the situation will it work? asif

If you would like the quail alive I wouldn't necessarily recommend giving them Ativan, they may not react well, it could kill them. There are several different types of live traps you could try, or maybe look for a nest on the ground and incubate your own. Lots of advice here on incubating eggs!
