Does anyone hatch the old-fashioned way any more?!?!?!

So far everyone is doing great! All the babies are alive and well and momma is doing a great job of protecting them. The only thing that I dislike about letting a broody raise them instead of a human/brooder is the fact that I can't catch and hold the babies. I have cornered a few at times and "stole" them away to love on them but momma hen totally freaks out and attacks everything in sight! Oh well, still best that the hen raise the babies

The kids are 5 weeks old now and Momma hen has decided to give them the boot and return to the flock...she laid her first egg yesterday since going broody. We have lost 1 of the original 9 chicks (went out exploring and never returned). I am keeping the youngsters isolated to the coop now until they are bigger. I hate to lose anymore!

Here is a pic of the kids playing on the big roost.
