Does anyone have a male calico cat

I always heard they were worth money because of their rarity. If any one wants a female and you live in Florida (volusia county) I have a little girl looking for a home.

I have had calicos most of my life and I have never seen a male but I heard they are born like 1 in 5000 or something like that and they are sterile, so the good thing you don't need to have him "Fixed"!

Just as predominantly the Orange cats are usually male.

I had five orange Kittens, two were female and two were male, the other one was creamy orange and male. The mom was orange too.

male trties and calicos can happen but its very rare as other said, not because the cats are rare but because its a genetic mutation that actually screws the cats genome up and makes them sterile...

while many people will pay big money becuase there "rare" in reality there just throwing away money on a fad animals (like "teacup chihuahaus" and "pom-a-poos") someone out there was willing to pay once people saw dollar signs and yay for good marketing strategies...male torties and calicos cannot reproduce, and im told by my vet have to be watched much more carefully for cancers and undescended testicles.

red tabbies (or orange cats) arnt quite as gentically messed up and not quite as unusual as tortie/calico males,
generally speaking the red gene is linked to males...theres a 25% chance for orange/red tabby females as oppsoed to the aproximatly 1% of a chance for a tortie or calico male.

generally if you mate a tortie, calico or an orange tabby female to an orange tabby male youll get orange tabby females in the litter.

Male calico and tortoiseshell cats are extremely rare, and are supposed to be good luck on ships.

My friend had a male calico, where he is from they are considered medicinal. His uncle cooked the cat into soup...
