I have one right now that I think is most likely a Call/Runner mix. I will post pics later today if I can get the hubby to take a pic and our digital camera works for more than two seconds (guess what I am getting for Christmas? LOL).
It is a Blue Fawn. The funny thing is that I needed a Blue Fawn for another breeding project I am starting and needed something that didn't look terribly like a Runner, so it is pretty incredible that this bird hatched. The other color I needed was white and low and behold, what is the other one that hatched? White. It definitely makes up for only 2 of 12 hatching!
That's Holly, my Bibbed Call hen who surprised me with these 7 babies. The Drake is a Lavender Runner, there is such a size difference that i didn't think they could mate, boy was I wrong...LOL
The Call/Runner babies at 4 weeks old, still waiting for someone to quack so I can tell drakes from hens. I know I'm dreaming but I'm hoping for ALL hens.
My Call/Runner babies at 6 weeks, from the quacks I have 6 hens and one drake, YAY!!!!! The drake likes to whistle back and forth with me, he's so cute. He is the one in the center with the freckle chest and the spot on the side of his head.
