Does anyone have any peafowl eggs available?

around us in ct there are not many breeders either but the few we find do get 2to3 times the money for birds as states with alot of breeders.the one we talked to that had contact info in mass wanted 300-350 for a 1yr pair of ib that is crazy you can buy the same thing for 100$in other states but that is how supply an demand works.also there are no colors around us you can either get ib or bs i am going to get a white an silver peid pen going in spring then 2012 going to start purple pen then hopefully start another color pen in 2013 till my parents tell me i am running out of space on our farm.

goodluck an you maybe surprised by the interest you get when you start breeding people rather drive 3-4 hours to get birds they can see an know are healthy then have them shipped an hope you get what they promise.

I might have to try and just go in slowly so I don't get over run. But no shipping in the fall unless they come from a northern state... It's hard on them to come from a southern state to the north. By the time it's cool enough for them to ship, we likely already have snow. Maybe if I get to that point I should save my pennies and take a road trip. I have family in PA, bet I could find some between here and there!

Also none in South Dakota or Montana which leaves me with MN and it's a 4 hour drive just to get to the state line. So part of me thinks that I should get enough nice peas to set up a breeding program, the other part of me admits that if I did, nobody would want them. Mostly cropland around here and they don't seem interested in critters mostly for show.

Not all people that raise Peafowl belong to the UPA, I know of a good breeder of high quality Peafowl in IN that is not a member of the UPA and there are others. So there may be breeders in your state just watch your news paper and poultry sales and there may be someone closer then you think.

I have a white peahen still laying with a peacock with full train. But think your state may be to hot for egg shipments.

My oldest peachicks can be sexed, and can ship if temp. not to hot in your area.

Little blue have your dad pm me. about some peachicks or breeders.
