Does anyone have funny quirks about themselves like:

Am I the only one who eats candy by color? For example: Skittles. No certain order, but all of the same color must be consumed before the next color. Purple, then red, then yellow... and so forth?

At a house I used to live at, the bedroom light switch was all the way across the other side of the room from my bed. I will switch it off, run, and leap into bed as fast as I could and lay there still as a stone until I felt it was safe to move again.

Yeah, I guess you can call me a little paranoid.

I also won't let my feet hang over my bed because I feel like someone will grab them. Same thing while I'm sleeping; I don't get how people can sleep with their arms, legs, etc. hanging over the side of the bed. And I always sleep with my arms under the covers, otherwise I feel like I'm not safe if I'm not completely hidden under the covers except for my head.
Also, I always NEED tp have my bedroom curtains shut all the way. If they are open or a little open at night, it will creep me out and I will become scared.

And lastly I'm deadly afraid of drowning. The titanic movie scared me so much. Just being out on a boat in the ocean scares me. I think about all the deep water and I'm not a very good swimmer at all. But the water is so deep if you think about it; it's miles and miles and miles and MILES deep. That just scares me to think how deep it is.

And I swim across a lake every year for this annual thing; it's not so bad, but I'm so scared that some snapping turtle is going to grab my toe or something. Under the water, since it's a lake, is so much unknown stuff. Nasty, yucky water plants and old things resting on the very bottom of the dark lake. And there I am swimming right above it all. Any creature could be lurking beneath me as I'm swimming in the middle of the lake, and it just creeps me out.

And lastly, another thing that I do is when I eat a cup of yogurt or pudding, I HAVE to lick clean the lid and I have to scrape all of it out before I'm done. I've seen people eat some and leave a bit in the bottom, but not me. I will scrape as much out as possible. Same thing with a plate after I eat breakfast, lunch, or supper. It all has to be completely gone before I'm done, unless I don't want to eat it.

Me! If I eat candy such as skittles, I always save ONE orange for last and I will have one red, one yellow, one green, etc. I can't have one orange and two reds or one orange and two greens. If I have one orange, two reds, and one green, I will eat one of the reds so there's an even amount of colors.

Also, I just remembered that I usually do most things in even numbers, especially 4's, for some reason. Odd numbers just seem strange to end something with.

M&Ms.

I sort by color and make sure there is the same number of each.

The extras get eaten right away.

Then I eat one color at a time. Good thing I rarely have M&Ms. I would be at it all day.

Oh and when I was a kid, I would save them until my sister had hers all gobbled down, then I would set out a plate on the coffee table and sort them and eat them slowly.

Lol I do that too. The exact same way.

Man, you don't really know how weird you are until a thread like this pops up and makes you think of all your... Weirdness.

Folding laundry is my job; no one else in the house can touch it... The seams must line up just so, smoothing before and after each fold. Towels must be folded with seam sides together. I've tried teaching DH and DD but it was just too hard for me to let go of, so it is all me again and hopefully always will be.

M&Ms: Sort by color. Is it REALLY that hard to put the same number of each color in a bag???????? Eat one of each color, so the piles stay as even as possible.

Dishwasher: It is a well-known fact that I WILL sort the dishwasher before it runs. Why doesn't everybody know that you can't have glasses touching in the dishwasher? And pots and pans DO NOT go on the top rack!

Storm drains: Should never have watched the movie "It".

Bridge-phobic.

Needle-phobic.

Light switch plates: Of course the screw heads should all face the same way! Mine are usually vertical - it lines up with the switches.

My husband goes one better. On a switch plate with multiple switches, they must either be ALL up or ALL down. If there is more than one switch that controls a light, we will run back and forth between the switches until they all point the same way. Of course, when I'm irritated with him, I mess the switches up.

Writing Utensils: I prefer to use retractable pens. If I lose the cap to a non-retractable pen, I have to throw the pen away. Ditto with pencils on which the eraser is worn away. I don't like to share my pens, either. What if somebody puts the pen in their mouth? Ewwww.

Ooh, another one for DH: Food. Prefers that different foods not touch on a plate. Finishes each different food before starting the next. BUT, will use the same plate and fork to eat entree and dessert. Yuck.

I could go on . . .

Okay...now my husband used this recently to demonstrate to friends that I am "out of control"!! It's perfectly normal!! I can't wait to tell him...hehehe

CANNOT drink water, milk or anything cold from a coffee mug. It just isn't as enjoyable and doesn't taste the same.
