Does anyone have quail eggs?

My Pharaoh Quail take 18 days. I like 99 degrees. (forced air) 102 can kill them, 96 will make them hatch a few days later. We often get a 95% hatch. Don't bother turning the eggs the last three days and try not to open the incubator once the hatch starts as the heater running can dry out the eggs and the chicks get glued to the shell. One chick usually hatches 1/2 day before the others. They can live over 24 hours in the incubator. OMG are they great to watch running around like Speedy Gonzales!
I think the smaller an animal is the more pronounced "small" things are that affect them... like humidity and heat.

we got our bob white hatchlings this [ast spring and love them. i will give a note of warning. Clear it with your ag department first. In TN you have to have a permit unless you are just growing them for yourself, you can't sell or give them away without a permit. I would love to try some pharoh quail with my bob whites. Crystal

Oh yes... do check...here (Ohio) you have to have a permit for Bob white also... even for your own use because they are a "game bird" BUT any variety of Coturnix or Button are "domestic" and no permit is needed.
