I have some hens and a rooster and one of my barred rocks went broodie one time and hatched 2 chicks!!!
But now shes done and I cud use some more chicks so I've been wanting to build an incubator and I have
no clue how!!

My dad said that he'd help me but I cud use some plans or something. And I just found out that
you need some sort of humidity thing (I never knew that)!!! So if someone cud post a web sight
or link or somethin I'd appreciate it alot!!!!!!!

Here is mine. I have a tray under the wire to use for the water. I use small tubing through the side and a syringe to put water in so I don't have to open it up. My glass was put in the top lid. I used a water heater thermometer hooked to the light socket and a computer fan to provide circulation and I put a few small holes in the side to draw in fresh air. I also cut a small square in the side just big enough to get my hand through for turning the eggs so I don't have to open the top. Just cut the square like you would cut the top of a pumpkin. It works great. I built two of them. I use one as a bator and the other as a hatcher.

it's on my BYC page over there

it is not as hard as it looks to build one.
I've got my 2nd batch in there right now. I'm on day 14 with 12 eggs (started with 14 but 1 quit and 1 clear)

Have fun and Happy Hatching!!
