Its the worlds most dangerous cake recipe.

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

1 Mix dry ingredients in large coffee mug. Add egg & mix thoroughly.
2 Add milk and oil, mix well.
3 Add vanilla and mix well.
4 Microwave at 1000 watts for 3 minutes.

It's dangerous because you now are about 4 minutes from chocolate cake.

How sad is it that I can rattle off this recipe from memory?

I've made variations w/o cocoa, subbing a cinnamon/brown sugar/butter streusel for the middle & topping - still good, but the original is BEST.

Well I have a similar recipe that I rattle off from memory, but I'm a bariatric surgery patient and make a bariatric surgery-friendly version of this cake-in-a-cup. It's kinda dry, but I'm finding ways to moisten it up and make it extra yummo!

My DH has ask me to make this every night for him since I got the recipe again. I like to try different cups to see how hight in gets in the microwave. Before you know it he won't be able to get out of his chair. lol

A slightly smaller, lighter version:

2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon cocoa
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
pinch of salt
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon oil
Chocolate chips, chopped nuts, a teaspoon of strawberry jam, or anything else that sounds yummy!
Mix dry ingredients in a small bowl, stir in milk and oil. Spray mug with nonstick cooking spray,
pour in cake batter and microwave on high for a minute to a minute and a half.

I adore this recipe because I have intolerances to both eggs and milk, so its rare for me to find a cake recipe that I can eat. I substitute soy milk for the milk.
