My husband has been telling me not to throw away my dull rotary blades because he thinks he can find a tool online that will allow him to resharpen them.

If there is someone on here who does this themselves I would appreciate information about the tool you use and where you ordered/bought it.

Thanks!

Here is a link that will take you to a picture of what the blades look like. www.quiltbug.com/notions/martelli.htm

I
would post a picture of my own blades, but I washed my camera recently (literally) and now I can't do a thing with it!

Basically all of the blades look the same, the hole in the middle is sometimes different per the manufacturer.

(Edited to add the link)

Wow, you must have a high dollar model! If my husband can figure out how to sharpen them, (he has assured me there is a tool or something he could order online to resharpen mine). I have a Fiskars from Wally World, but it works great. The blades just get dull so quickly.

Its a Dritz and its not fancy, my mom used it for a long time and gave it to me about 10 years ago. Walmart used to carry the blades and now Joanns is the only place I can find them. It won't be so bad when I get my coupon for 40% to get one. Maybe its just time for a new cutter.

I got a thing at JoAnn's that is round and has sandpaper around it then some handle thing to put the blade on and you turn it (the blade on the handle thing) round and round. I should of saved my money. Remember someone on here said to use tin foil and cut it to sharpen your blade. I tried that and it will help for awhile. I used afew layers of foil. wish there was a good way to sharpen them
