Does anyone keep chickens and ducks together?

I have 10 muscovies and when it is cold they will go in the coop with the chickens but most of the time they just sleep outside. (they have other barns they could go in but they choose the coop)

they all free range happily together in the yard during the day.

I have 6 ducks and 10 hens living together, they all get along well. Mine all free range all day, so the coop isnt bad to clean. My birds are one big happy flock:D

I do and it works well as long as you keep the water issue under control. If the ducks soak the bedding the chickens can get sick from all the moisture. I keep the water outside though so I've never had a problem with it. They get along great, I've never had probems with fighting. Some of the roosters even try to breed the ducks every now and then

I have 2 ducks in with my chickens. The only way it works is with a secure outdoor run where I can put their water. Water can NOT be in the coop. The ducks siphon it out the back of their beaks and all over the floor. It just didn't work in the coop.

Other than that it's worked fine for me. No undue aggression or anything.

in your pic; what are the grey birds??? I cant c the feet so I cant tell..I have no clue..

and then the one roo off to the right hand side w/the red? what breed is he?

my ducks are only 2 weeks old and I had to seperate them from the chicks because the ducks seemed to never sleep, were messy, and liked to "groom" the chicks.
I am planning on housing them together but If they like outside are their runs enclosed???

Once upon a time, we did. It was a long time ago now... I recall them not getting along very well, the chickens would regularly attack the poor things, but in regards to water and things like that, we did fine. The bunch of ducks would sleep under the chickens' roosts, so nobody bothered each other at night.

the grey birds are Lavender Guinea fowl (I think those are the ones you were talking about) and the rooster is a mix breed. A little bit of everything lol
