Does anyone know how too float test pheasant eggs to see if they are fertile before any incubation. Please let me know.

As far as I know, there is no float test that will check eggs for fertility without at least some incubation. The float test will determine whether or not eggs that have not had any incubation are fresh or not. Fresh eggs will sink while old eggs will float.

The only way that I know to check eggs that have not been incubated for fertility is to sacrifice some by cracking them open and checking the yolk for a "bullseye".

This site makes the claim that partially incubated eggs can be checked for fertility by using a float test. I personally have not tried their method and am skeptical of their claims.
