Does anyone know how to befreind a turkey?

NOPE! :lau

Sorry, I find it funny due to personal experience. Turkey's are lovely to look at and make for great poultry TV. Sitting in the yard watching them in the run is like watching the 3 Stooges sometimes. LOL. However, mine never wanted to be held or even touched since they were poults. I love having a few turkeys around though. I'm actually waiting for Spring hatching from a friend to get a few poults again this year.

Most of my turkeys I raised as babies, Those were friendly, but the wild turkeys in my neighborhood never became pets. They used to roost in our trees and I used to feed them old bread, but they never tamed.

If your turkey sees you enough, realizes you are the bringer of food, he may follow you around... if that is enough...

thank you guys! He lets me hold and catch him no problem .He lives in a coop and is getting a run soon. I was wondering how to make him more trusting while being handled
