Thanks for the concern!
It was horrible, i froze my footsies off.. and i was scared cause it was so cold.
Then my awesome hubby rigged the furnace to the small generator we have...
So my family came here and we all hunkered down with blankets and flashlights. (my brother just went back home a few minutes ago to see if his power is on yet.., we're getting worried for his animals. (7 cats and 2 house rabbits.) If its still off, he may have bring them all here. Poor things..
So we ran the furnace for a little while to keep from freezing to death...
, then we plugged in the freezers(so we didnt lose all our meat)..
And thats how we survived till the power came back on.
My uncle had a tree come down on his garage and total his cars.. and they had a newborn baby there they had to keep warm. So scary.
We had several huge limbs come down in our yard and barely miss the animal houses.. we stayed up all night watching to be sure none hit the animals.
Sooo many folks are still out out power here. And a few have passed away from carbon monoxide poisoning trying to keep warm.
I have learned this state SUCKS in an emergency!!
And i am just exausted.
