campho phenique (sp?). I bought a bottle of it today to try on my roo's sore feet and it sures smell like the campho that I remember not so fondly from my childhood? My mom thought campho phenique was a miracle cure-all.

I think it's chicken Vick's lol which does have campho phenique in it, though I haven't checked my Vet RX bottle yet, I'm gonna google it though lol
Vet RX is Made with 3.3% (v-v) alcohol U.S.P. The mixture contains Canada balsam, camphor, oil origanum, oil rosemary, blended in a corn oil base.

So, it's the camphor I'm smelling. I'll never forget that smell!

I saw the post you put up. If Camphor was toxic to birds, people would not be using it after over 100 years.
