Does anyone know if you need a permit to own Chicken in Highland Park, New Jersey?

Hello all- I currently have 7 chickens and I'm not sure whether or not I need a permit for them. I live in Highland Park, New Jersey. Please help!

Do any of your neighbors have chickens? Do you live in a rural setting or will every neighbor complain when they lay eggs and sing, or do you have roosters? Oh no, did you get them from TS.there are so many questions. I have 12 hens in NJ. I have over an acre. I do not free range. I have one neighbor who doesn't say anything about them. It's been 6 years now.

I do not think so. My neighbors most likely don't have chicken. I live it a suburb and my neighbors have never complained. I do not have any roosters.
