Does anyone know if you need a permit to ship hatching eggs?

Hatching eggs requires NPIP certification for shipping out of state.

Ducks, & other Waterfowl are exempt from this. I don't understand this though.


You can get around this system by shipping them as a perishable food items.
 
Depends on the state(s), and whether you cross state lines, but assume "Yes".
