Does anyone know if you need a permit to ship hatching eggs?

hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knew if you need a permit to sell chicken and duck hatching eggs. Please any advise helps!

Hatching eggs requires NPIP certification for shipping out of state.

Ducks, & other Waterfowl are exempt from this. I don't understand this though.


You can get around this system by shipping them as a perishable food items.

I think it's because *supposedly* ducks and waterfowl can't get the same viruses chickens can

Chicken eggs you have to be NPIP certified to sell eggs across state lines.

Depends on the state(s), and whether you cross state lines, but assume "Yes".

Click on your User ID at upper right, scroll down the page till you see "Location" - you can be as specific or vague as you wish.
