Mottled Houdans and Orpingtons? I am lookingat my current flock for something else to show next month at a county fair show. I plan on taking my Bantam Cochin Rooster, but would like to have a couple.
I have 3 Mottled Houdan Roosters and a Buff Orpington Rooster, so without spending the crazy amount to buy a standards book now, I was wondering if someone here can tell me.

I can later today,,,,I have to go run some cockerals to Spooner now,,,,,,but, being an addict I just had to pop on here for a few minutes. I will be back later this afternoon if someone else hasnt already helped you.

ETA: Orpingtons-wide backs, tail set 45 degree angle, nice even comb, white legs, nice round body , fluff to the knees, more later

If you get the non-color version of the standard it is way cheaper than the other one but if you plan on showing it is a must have item. A very handy reference.

THanks for the links. I will check them out and see if Larry, Moe or Curly will work for showing.

I went to the library a year ago and checked the standard book out. If they dont have one you can do an internet library loan which includes university systems, You are sure to hit pay dirt with that!
