Does anyone know what this duckling is doing?

I have a duckling that I got about a week ago. Lately he's been doing this thing where he'll run around at random times, really fast. For example, he'll be eating, and then he'll stop and run really fast and then stop again and just lay wherever he stopped. I would really like to know if any of you wonderful ducky lovers know what he's doing. I say "he", just because it's nicer to say than "it". Because of course I don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet.

How many cups of coffee does he have per day? Maybe you could cut it with decaf. He'll never notice, unless he's a professed coffee aficionado, and then he'll be a crabby duckling. So you have to decide which you prefer: spastic, or homicidal.
