I noticed that step-sisters chicken is having trouble walking and got close and saw this. I’ve never seen this before and google isn’t helping much.

ITS FISHING LINE OR STRING OF SOME SORT. How did I not notice?!? I’ll try to get it removed tomorrow and update.
Fishing line on both feet?

I agree, it looks like Scaly Leg Mites, but it's possible she may have something wrapped around the foot too. Investigate and see what you find.

I was going to say that it looks like “stringfoot”, a condition seen mainly in pigeons when they get string wrapped around their feet. Her’s looks like the string has been there a while, so it will take a while to heal and you’ll have to keep her feet clean during the process. Judging by the severity, her feet were probably tied together at some point.

Yeah I will. I’m thinking foul play from one of her kids unfortunately. It’s wrapped everywhere on both feet bad. My brain didn’t process the string in the pictures because I was looking for scabs or mites.

My step-sister said it’s been months. I’m so upset at her for not looking sooner. We took her and are keeping her.
