Does anyone know what type of ducks these might be?

Im thinking maybe Muscovy but i really dont know! :\ i got them from a girl who was keeping them in a box soley. :\ they are awewfully sweet and tame though! Glad i was able to save them and was ready for ducks too!

Yeah they look it to me! a box? wth? she not get them out at all?? There fairly young definitely under 8wks... They look a bit like my June hatch ones..

she said they were 5 weeks old and yes, in the box only! :.( she said they were way too messy and she let them out when she changed their bedding. ummmm what?!?! i am keeping them in a fenced in backyard and they are out all the time now and seem soooo happy. ducks are really messy! duh! oh well, at least i have them now.

They are black barred muscovy. Beautiful ducks!
Too young to tell gender but as they grow you will be able to tell. Males get noticably larger than the females. But if they are both the same gender then it may take a little longer as it can be hard to tell male from female when they are the same and you don't have any others to compare them too

Glad you were able to give them a home with some space! No animal should have to live in a box
