Does anyone order and raise baby chicks in the winter?

Thanks -Some of you lucky people have barns- that would be great but I only have a garage. I brooded my last batch of chicks inside the house and although fun, and agree with crazyhen- the dust was horrific- I ended up putting them in the shower and lining it with cardboard -but moved them outside at 4 weeks old because I couldn't stand the dust anymore. It took me three hours of cleaning and scrubbing to get the bathroom usable again- ha. I wondered if I could brood them in the garage- but don't they need natural sunlight or is a brooder light enough for them? I have a very dim garage with only windows in the door.
