Does anyone run a CSA program ( community supported/shared agriculture )...

THanks heniible for starting this thread. I have been thinking along this route. . . but get stuck thinking about all the regulations that stranlge this kind of ingenuity. I have not been selling eggs this year. . .still trying to come up with better options after all the stolen eggs from the cooler. . . . . like a manned booth for 2 hours a week. THis set up, of course, makes it difficult for customers with odd schedules. . . . . which got me to thinking about CSA's . . . .so i'm here to lurk.

It's a slow thread, so far...
But I'm still dreaming, and my business plan is ever changing, growing and being tweaked. One day perhaps we will snag the attention of someone who is operating a CSA...
For the mean time though I am extremely fortunate to have a local Health food store that buys eggs and veggies from me while I work on the "plan". :)

That is a good start. I"m betting that the regs in the US are different than Canada. Perhaps there are programs in BC that might be helpful. I'm patient . . . .definitely hope for a CSA resource to offer suggestions!!

Thanks for letting me know meca, I was just thinking about it... Lol
It will be getting a rewrite, but still I found getting to read another persons plan helped a great deal. The one I read had nothing to do with growing food, but helped me emencly.
