Does anyone still collect Beanie Babies or Hummels or whatever?

There were several crazes that got a lot of people involved. I'm wondering if anyone kept going, after the craze stopped?

Barbies are still pretty hot, I guess.

Got a thing for Barbies, huh?

Sorry, can't help you on the collecting stuff, never had the interest (or money) to get into that.

Beanie Babies.... ugh I had over 400 at one time. I can't even sell them now for $1 each at my yearly garage sales. I still have about 50 left that I can't get rid of. How about Muffy Van der Bears? Again I had over 300 plus another 50 packaged outfits. at $45 a pop I had a ton of money invested. I can't give these away. Maybe someday I'll have grandkids... I'll probably have to have my own the way things are going. hahahahaha

I used to collect stuff til I went into an antique store and saw other peoples collectables for sale and I thought my money could give me more pleasure on this side of heaven. I figured what's the point my kids won't value it.

So I guess the answer is No.

Yes they do! I never collected anything past owning about 5 beanie babies, that are now in a bin of toys for the kids, but I have a couple cabbage patch dolls from my childhood. They do make them, not quite like they were years ago. Toys R Us sells them. I had a couple Tomagachis... I liked those

Lol

I still have a beanie baby that I treasure! It's the rooster! I'd looked for him everywhere and could never find him! I received him as a gift when I had knee surgery...he is now displayed on my "chicken shrine" in the living room.
