Just this and I won't mention it again, it IS NOT your fault!!!! I am severely scarred internally from 3 emergency C-sections....it is NOT my children's fault any more than this is yours. Good luck.

Angelmarie - I have a suggestion. Instead of selling your playstations and cell phones, which cost a lot of money, for $5 and $10, just to earn some money to buy a roo - why not do some babysitting? Anyone would hire a nearly 16 year old to babysit and it pays BIG bucks. I'm not sure what you meant by "not in school currently" but now that it's summer you could offer babysitting services in people's home during the day/working hours as well as nights. I earned a lot of money when I was your age babysitting. It will pay a lot more than a chicken business. Even if you get the roo it would take a year before you are having enouch chicks and eggs to sell to make any money and it would not pay for their feed. Love the chickens but it's a hobby not a business.

i've tried, i really have, i even went for a pet sitting job and gave them a pidture, they want some one older, the only job i can get now is making 46 music cd's hundreds of songs, for $45, yea it sucks...........

Print some flyers and go door to door in your neighborhood and hand them out and ask if anyone can recommend people who need babysitters. Put them on local grocery store bulletin boards and church bulletin boards. Some local papers will let you take out a free ad. I know many people who are desperately trying to find a good babysitter. Seems like 15 and16 year olds just don't want to babysit anymore (don't necessarily mean you, just teens in general). I think it pays about $20 an hour these days.

ok i'll do that it just seems like all the older people are getting all the teen jobs nowadays.........*sigh* i wish i'd get an opportunity

If that bakersfield is CA, then it's a city. How about delivering newspapers?? If you live in the country it will be time to detassel corn soon. elderly people who might need help with garden work or house work??

When my daughter was 15 she was able to find work as a bus-girl at a small diner near us. It only paid minimum wage...but it was better than nothing! I know it's difficult to find a job at 15.
