My new pullet has been acting fine now that I trimmed her hair and she can see but she’s started sneezing wet sneezes with what looks to be a runny nose, could she have a cold? Her hair is wet and I don’t know how long it’s been wet, her belly took awhile to dry so it was wet for a few hours as well.
Again her hair is wet and so far I’ve only really noticed her sneezing when I was trimming it so could it be feathers in her nose making her sneeze?

Did you give her a bath, is that why her belly was wet?

Hard to see anything in the photo, can you take some with adequate lighting?

Observe her for a couple of days, if you were trimming feathers and she began sneezing, likely the fine dust from the feathers got into her nostrils. Wipe out her nostrils really well and see if the symptom remains.

Does she have lice or mites on her head?

If you bath a bird and you are worried about them remaining wet, towel dry well, then use a blow drier to finish drying them.

I think she is fine now, it might’ve been water droplets on her beak and feathers in her nose, I had okay lightning I just had to turn off flash because she wouldn’t hold still, I did check her for bugs and she had none, her stomach is wet because her sister spilled the water in the cage twice and got her wet as well and she wouldn’t stand much due to lack of vision, it did dry before it could grow mold thankfully

On a slightly different note: Silkies don't tolerate being wet very well. Their feathers don't protect them from hypothermia as effectively. Best to get them dry ASAP. (Learned this with my own Silkies.)

Yeah I did read that about my silkies, i never let them go to bed wet, I definitely can’t risk losing one of them, they’re so sweet and hopefully will hatch babies for me

Now that I’m looking closer at her I think she might actually have mites, I saw one single bug but while she was twitching and shaking her head I did notice a bit of redness, I posted a tread on it with pictures
