Does Blue Kote Work?

I have a pecked hen who's all healed up but we put her back and she's getting pecked again. Would blue kote work to keep them from pecking on her cause I would really like to keep this one. Any other ideas of things to prevent pecking would also be appreciated.

I've never used it but I've heard of a product that might work. It's a sour apple spray that makes the skin and feathers taste unpalatable. I think it is marketed for dogs to keep them from chewing hot spots. Maybe that would work?
