Does BYC have a facebook page?

Well you do not have to give alot of details on FB and yes I agree you have to be careful who you interact with people on FB and ONLY accept those who you know and the people you like on BYC LOL! If anyone else tries to tell you to accept them and you do not know who they are, do not accept them. You can even use your avatar for your ID photos or put none down. Just the bare bones.

You do not have to post anything on your wall, just talk chickens if you like. If it is private, you can always email between FB users.

I never had any problems so far with FB except for FV and some of the hiccups that FB had to deal with. Other than that, it was great in socializing my relatives that I never knew i had LOL!

I guess I just don't get it...so...what does FB have to offer that I can't get here on BYC?

Some of us wanted to get to know ourselves better. Believe it or not, there are some wonderful BYCers out there and I can visualize what the person looks like behind the chicken faces LOL!
And some of them would sell eggs and birds privately there too!

And something else that BYC does not allow, are the religion rants, politicial rants, etc. without getting a mod shutting it down. If you do not like what they are saying, you can remove that topic out of your wall.

I can understand you guys are skeptic I was too until my sister told me to give FB a try. So I did and it was neat to see all my cousins and relatives all over the country, annoucing new births, deaths, marriages, new jobs, job losses, getting new chickens etc.

I guess I'm just too private of a person; I really don't want the world to know all about me and frankly, I'm already in contact with those who I wish to be. Okay, I realize that makes me sound like a hermit or something, but it's okay!

I did join, briefly, so I speak from experience. It was annoying and creepy so I deleted my account. Everyone kept telling me I had to be on board. So, I did try it, and that is why I know I hate it. I don't want new friends, especially the ones who are friends of other friends of other friends of other friends, etc, etc. .

Being connected to all those folks is just weird, weird, weird.

I have FB. So I can play Farmville and a few other games. You dont have to add every person that friend requests you. I add my friends and family. Also some of my friends family. Oh and I add my BYC family, and a few of their spouses or friends if they play FV..

I like Facebook for the games. Thats about all I do there. Searching for your friends from way back in high school is a bit harder on facebook. I dont like that. So I usually just look to see who is on my friends friend list.

I like the way Myspace is set up. But most of my friends are now on facebook. But a few of my myspacers dont do facebook. Myspace is easier to find your old high school buddies. You can type in an age range and just a first name and it will narrow the list way down. Which you cant do on facebook..

Facebook if you dont know the person town you cant really find them. You cant search by state so harder to find lost friends and relatives.
