Pleased to introduce everyone to Opal:

She’s about 6 months old now and we adopted her in January after visiting her for a few weeks at the bird store. She’s settling in very nicely and I’m absolutely in love with her! She can be a little vocal, but she was DNA sexed and is a female. Between her and my chickens, I just need to direct deposit my pay checks to the local pet store!

I asked for a parrot..7 years, 21 guineas & 2 chickens later, I finally got my wish! (How anyone could confuse a parrot with the others ). But I feel ya-the feed, the treats, the housing, the toys..I've become a carpenter/toy maker!

We went on our first walk in our bird backpack today. She seemed to love it. Was super interested in the neighborhood chickens we walked by.

I have 6 budgies, three females three males. They are so adorable. Hoping they will breed! Funny thing is, everyone says they are SO EASY to breed that they will do it on their own.... how come I've had them over a year and still NOTHING?!
