Does DE get rid of lice or just prevent?

DE does not prevent lice.

does it kill the eggs too? or just the live bugs and then in 8 days it kills the ones that hatch out? I know where the eggs are and it is in a tricky spot, so I am not sure if I need to get it in that tricky spot or not.

If you already see them I would use a chemical before it gets any worse

You need to use a chemical and throughly dust your bird, clean out the living quarters and dust it. Then REPEAT again in 10 days.

I dusted them all the best I could. I hope it was good enough of a job! they shook it off when I was done, hopefully I got it onto their skin enough that it didn't shake off.
