Does every flock have a complainer?

My first chicken ever became my "complainer" or "alarmist" but honestly I've been calling her a drama queen because she's always making a big deal out of absolutely nothing and calling attention to herself. :)
Her name is Penny and she is a buff silkie, one of just a few bantams in my flock of 20. :)

I'm not sure complainer is the word for our white leghorn "Tweety". I think Drama Queen fits her better.

I have a sweet 8 week old Ameraucana that whines all the time, especially if she gets off on her own then realizes she alone. Or when I go to let them out of the coup and she sees me coming, or when I shoo her off the
deck, or... Love her fluffy face!

I had a rooster that was so bad he had everyone so uptight they were eating eggs so he made it to the table. WE still have a few noisy ones but nothing like it was. Anything was causing an alarm, OH NO FOOD IS COM MING RUN or YOU LAID AN EGG not to mention the one hour scream because THE BAG OF FEED MOVED AND IT IS 10 FEET AWAY. But the chicken and dumplings was quite good.

Got to love the complainers! They make keeping chickens fun. My BSL starts talking as soon as she sees a human, any human, lol. She fusses about everything. But she is the most funny at night settling down on the roost. She will turn herself around in a complete circle, twice, and no other chicken can be touching her or they and the rest of us hear it. All my other chickens like to sit together, she has to have her space, its funny to watch her do this every night.

I have a complainer here! I hatched her out in late February and from the way she hatched, I could tell she was going to give me problems. She couldn't get her egg shell off her bottom by herself and would just make it 20 times more dramatic than it had to be. Her name was Drama Queen from the get go! She is really living up to her name so far. If she and some others get out of the fence, she will make it 20 times harder to herd them back inside the fence. If I'm outside doing a chore, she will come up bawking at me about nothing in particular.. But when she does want food or something, she will bawk and bawk and BAWK! She also struts around and will make a big deal out of anything and everything- from dust bathing to picking bugs. I think the others don't like her around because she probably scares the bugs away.

I have a rooster who is also very vocal, but he is a relatively low-key rooster. He just does a lot of grumbling and purring noises. I never knew a chicken could "purr" until I got Arlo.. These kinds of chickens are what makes chicken keeping so much fun!

I can't say I have any "complainers" but I do have one Delaware that just won't shut up some times! The only one that kind of complains is my mystery hen emerald. Most of the time it's when my rooster gets close... Boy does she tell him!

It seems so! I live in the country, but I live in a subdivision so I still try to be thoughtful of my neighbors. I had one of my ducks that was always SO LOUD, so I rehomed her. It was quiet for a couple days now her sister is speaking up SMH.

I have read that a lot of the Buff Orp's have been the complainers. For me it is my Brahmas. The whole time I am putting out scratch, feeding, watering, giving treats, cleaning out the run or coop they read me the riot act. Mostly low but consistent chatter. My drama queen is one of the Americaunas. She runs all over the coop when I even think about coming near her. But hey, aside from Picata, all of my hens are really friendly and a blast to watch.
