Does feeding your chicken egg shells produce better eggs?

I heard that if you feed your chicken egg shells she will lay better eggs. Is this true?
 
Its how you define better. Better, stronger eggs, yes. Better tasting no. more nutritious, no.
 
Feeding them the shells increases their calcium intake and therefore creates stronger shells (you can also feed them oyster shells but you already have the egg shells for free). Be sure to crush the shells before feeding it to the chickens, otherwise, they will equate the eggs to the shells = food. This encourages egg pecking/eating behavoir.
