does hens eat red ants as well

I have a red ant problem do I need to protect my chickens from red ants or will they snack on them as well?

red sting ants will get in you nest and bite your babies.also bite your chickens.

So I guess that is a no they will not eat them. How can I keep my hens safe from ants. I don't plan on having any baby chicks out side, I will wait for them to be fully feathered.
I HATE STING ANTS!!!!!

Some chickens eat ants but most don't. Ants have a chemical in them
that doesn't taste very good. I've tried to get mine to eat ants - nope.
They love spiders though.
