Does IDEAL email you when they ship?

I was expecting IDEAL to ship my chicks today. However, I never received any email that the chicks were sent. Do they normally let you know?

No, they do not.

Nope. I've ordered twice and never recieved and e-mail that they shipped. I got an e-mail that told me when they would ship when I ordered, but not once that notified me they were in the mail.

If you don't have them and they were supposed to ship, call them in the AM.

Their customer service is fabulous.

I ordered chicks from Ideal, which, according to an email, were due to ship today. But I got a call from the post office LAST FRIDAY! I wasn't notified that they shipped early. I was furious! I was actually out of town, and was in no way prepared with my brooder.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for asking this! I've been wondering this myself!!! I had chicks due to ship out yesterday. I have ordered from them before but that was 2 years ago and I just frankly couldn't remember what happened then. LOL I actually found the invoices from when I ordered back then and one shipment got here 2 days after being shipped out, the other just 1 day! So I took the phone with me to bed last night just in case the post office called. No chicks this morning. I sure hope they get here tomorrow morning. I don't want them to be weak from a 3 day trip.

Yes they do! You have to tell them in the messages section of their online order form to email you when your order is to be shipped! They will send you an email. I did just that and they notified me.

Are you sure your order isn't due until 9-3? That's the only hatch date I've found for what they have available.

They arrived safely this morning.

4 Polish, 1 Brahma and 1 I-dont-remember-the-kind.

All look healthy and are drinking water.
