because I can't find any, but I do have regular apple cider vinegar...will that work? My new chicks have some pasty butt and I'm going to try the ACV...along with plain yogurt and boiled yolk. They took to the yogurt/crumble combo right away, and the egg is boiling now....

If you can't find it, first step: grit! Are you providing it in or near their food? They need it pretty early. If you can't find ACV locally you can buy it at Vitacost.com along with a myriad of other natural things for you. Free shipping over $49 too, it's where I get all my coconut oil etc. Sorry about your pasty chickies!

You'll hear differing opinions on this, here's mine: It is the acidity of the vinegar that is most important. So, it doesn't matter if it is white, or filtered, or not. I *do* use apple cider vinegar, but because it isn't as pungent as the white vinegar.
